If your house was burning, what would you take with you? That’s the question that Blogger/Photographer Foster Huntington is asking in his latest project The Burning House. In his own words – “It’s a conflict between what’s practical, valuable and sentimental. What you would take reflects your interests, background and priorities. Think of it as an interview condensed into one question.” A brilliantly simple idea, and surprisingly therapeutic because in selecting the few objects that sum you up you come to realise which of your possessions mean the most to you, and which of them you could probably do without. Very sobering. Try it yourself and you’ll see what I mean.
