The man who puts people in jars.
Gabriel Barcia-Colombo is an American video artist who creates installation pieces of “miniature people” encased inside ordinary objects such as suitcases, blenders and jars. His work focuses on memorialization and, more specifically, “the act of leaving one’s imprint for the next generation”. He calls it “artwork with consequences.” In his latest TED talk he explores this idea further, using projection mapping to capture and share his memories and freindships. Definitely worth a watch, if only to see the woman in the blender.
